The Association “International Piccolo Festival” promotes the XII International Piccolo Festival,
that will be held in Marktoberdorf, Bavaria, Germany, from the 14th to the 18th July 2026.
We are very honoured to host internationally renowned artists as Nicola Mazzanti, our Artistic Director and Former Piccolo of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, Natalie Schwaabe, piccolo of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and piccolo teacher at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, Vincent Cortvrint, solo piccolo of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Renate Linorter, senior lecturer for piccolo at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Marta Rossi, piccolo and flute player at the Rome Opera House and Nolwenn Bargin, lecturer for piccolo at the Musik-akademie of Basel and principal flute of the Musikkollegium Winterthur.
We will have the great pleasure to host also other Guest Piccoloists, that give us lectures and workshops, and exhibitors from all over the world with their instruments.
Registration will be open from March 1st, at 00.00 UTC +1 (Rome time).
If you register by March 31st, you will be entitled to a super early-bird special price, provided that the payment is made by April 15th at the latest!
Active performers can take part at the festival only in presence; it’s not possible to have online lessons.
Everyday active performers and auditors can join the warm-up session, workshops, conferences, interviews and concerts. Active performers will have lesson 45 mins long with three of the five guest artist.

The fee includes only the 3 individual lessons and all the festival activities, no hotel or travel.
Your application will not be processed until the application fee has been received.
You will receive an email with payment information in a few weeks.
There are no entrance exams. Active participants will be selected based on the date of registration and payment.
This year you have the chance to get accommodation at the Academy in a 3- or 4-bed room (from the afternoon of July 13 to the morning of July 19) and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner from the afternoon of July 13 to the morning of July 19) for the following fees:

*gluten and lactose free meals require an additional payment of 10 € for all days of the festival.
For those wishing to stay in single rooms, it is recommended to make reservations at hotels in Marktoberdorf.
Registration for the Festival – Important Information
This year, registration will be done via a Google Form, which means a Gmail account is required.
Each active student will receive three lessons: preferably two on repertoire (with a piano accompanist) and one on orchestral excerpts.
Students must indicate the repertoire pieces they wish to work on during the festival (one piece may be changed by May 15th if necessary).
The form will also require: personal details for registration; whether accommodation and meals at the Academy are needed; any dietary requirements.
